EAGLE SCOUT


After Press Secretary Ari,
Scott was an anomaly;
his presentation
was so flat,
how could he follow
Ari's act?

Not a wit,
he didn't parry
when the press
pressed a query

Suddenly and quietly
he left one day;
Bush walked him to the gate
just to be sure

Scott went home,
and, he thinks,
"They lied to me!
That really stinks!"

Who emerged was
"Scott the Fighter:"
Told his awful truth as
the former "insider"

The picture that he paints
of the lies of "The Decider,"
is so vivid in his book:
did McCain take a look?

Now it's he,
misled, deceived,
he trusted, now
righteously aggrieved
and
has power to wield
